About the Book
A wise-cracking stray tomcat in ancient Egypt magically acquires human powers. He immediately captures the attention of the young Pharaoh and they become close friends, together journeying throughout Egypt and attending royal functions and festivities.
The Vizer, the second most powerful man in Egypt, is threatened by their intimate relationship. It has strengthened the young Pharaoh and the Vizer has less control over him. He kills the Pharaoh, framing the cat for the murder, and usurps the throne.
With the help of his friend, the High Priest, the cat escapes and they time travel to New York City, where they meet the daughter of a renowned Egyptologist and learn a spell that will resurrect the Pharaoh.
The cat the High Priest return to Egypt eager to raise the Pharaoh from the dead, but find that to do so they need the help of the Bastet, the cat goddess.
