Then, top the week off with corrupt creepy people who use an adoption scheme to gain cheap labor, and you have to wonder…

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I’m trying to write from a 10 year old point of view and it’s a challenge at times. Then I think back to my sons and all their shenanigans… and the words flow.
I do change it up with the chapters from the actual realm of EVERWUD. These are written in third person and allow more of my whimsical nature to show through.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Write.
Even when you don’t want to.
When life is dragging you down and your muse simply packed up and left… write… and then write some more.
Read.
Read every book you can get your hands on. Skip around to the different genres and allow yourself to soak up each author’s energy.

To give credit where credit is due… I would say it was my husband’s idea for me to write a book.
I absolutely LOVE to read, and devour books every chance I get. The fact that I create magical fairy houses and make up stories for the inhabitants… well, it seemed like a natural step to take. I’ve made over 78 fairy houses and writing has now become a passion.
I’m a wife, mom, grandma and chocolate lover. Chocolate covered cherries are my all-time favorite candy, but any chocolate will do in a pinch!

I dream in full color and never ever think inside the box. As a matter of fact I don’t think I own one of those box thingies.
We live in northern Minnesota where the seasons are well defined… winter and summer, with a brief glimpse of spring and fall in between. Our garden is spectacular even though the season is so short.
I’ve been a student, house painter, waitress, teacher, care-giver and worked in a lumber mill. However, like I told my sons… it’s not necessarily what you do for a living (the job that pays the bills) that defines who you are.
It’s what you do that brings you JOY.
My epitaph will read… she LOVED her family well!
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I decided to take an online writing class to improve my skills. One particular assignment was to describe in 500 words or less, a dog in a pet shop.
The story just popped into my head!
After dealing with my three sons and their antics, countless dreams in full color, and the fact that I have an incredibly overactive imagination, I was primed and ready to let loose with this story.
I have also created 78 miniature fairy tree homes, a full size version of a tree home–a fairy cottage playhouse, and I make up stories for each house.
I dare to dream.
