WHAT IF THE WORLD IS NOT AS IT’S SAID TO BE?
13-year-old Roger Briggs has been trained to believe there is no such thing as Magic and has only ever shown interest in his own scientific pursuits, mainly that of studying bugs.
But then a chance collision with the nature loving, Mary Madam, occurs. This rapidly leads him into adventures he could never have believed possible. And soon, these two seemingly mismatched loners are drawn into a daring rescue and an incredible escape, from the most unbelievable and deadliest forces of evil existing on, or under, Planet Erf: The Psychonomy and the Worm Lords of the Core.
“Science & Law & Nothing More!”
This is the Psychonomy’s mantra that Roger and all children are taught in this alternative 1950’s Inglande, where even Science itself is being manipulated by these unseen powers, who are secretly plotting to rule all the hidden Worlds of Planet Erf. Now, Roger must free his mind and wake up – and not only believe in himself – but from here on out – he must – Believe in the Unbelievable!
Does he have the courage and ability to survive and so save the last Dragon’s Egg and its unhatched Dragon Prince? If not, the world, as it truly is – inside and out – will be destroyed!

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
Hi, Jed Langley here.
I'm helping my father, Steve Langley. He is an author currently battling cancer, but fighting the good old fight!
I'm currently at home in Manchester, England with my dad and family.
My dad is a writer & poet which has been his passion for more than 30 years.
Before his cancer hit, he was flat out writing the fantasy epic, the "Dragon's Erf" series.
He wrote 4 books and published the first, "Dragon's Egg" on Amazon! But little to no promotion was done.
My family & I are helping him with this while he fights & recovers.
The book is available on ebook and paperback.
My family & I would truly appreciate you get the book, read and do a review!
In the unlikely event any profit is made, this will go to any medical costs.
If you, friends and family like to read fantasy, then help me,
help our dad,
continue his legacy!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Please see above. I cannot answer thus question on behalf of my father. He's been a poet for 30 years and a huge fan of Tolkien etc. I'm sure that was his inspiration.
Only twelve of the Royal Guard had survived. The smoking corpses of their fallen comrades lay scattered in discarded ruin amongst the rubble of the outer court. The once one hundred strong cohort of proud Warrior-dragons had been decimated. Captain Strebor gave the command to fall back to defend the inner sanctum where their Lord, Divad Sivad, High King of the True-Dragons, sat curled and slumped on his royal couch-throne, awaiting with no great concern the unfolding of his supposedly fearsome fate. The High King Sivad had lost too much already. Long gone was his and the True-Dragons’ Golden Age. His slow slide into insanity and indifference had begun over a thousand years ago, when he had lost his wife and Soulmate, in the Battle of the Black Cavern. He could now no longer face the past, let alone the future. And the latest news of the loss of his only son and the present, de facto, ruling King of the True-Dragons, was too much to bear. The slow death of his all-consuming apathy was now nearing completion. The loyal One Hundred, however, had refused to desert their posts. They had now paid the ultimate price. The Fire-Worm Lords of the Core had surprised the Dragon Kingdom with their attack on the High King’s Palace. The kingdom had been left much weakened with the new King-Regent, the Lord Nevets Yram, now reportedly lost on a mission to aid a distant Under-Erf Cavern-World. “Form a ring around the High King!” Captain Strebor cried out urgently to his Warriors. “Let no Creature of the Core come near him. We will keep our oaths and defend the High King to our last flicker of red battle-flame!” The Guards obediently surrounded the unseeing and uncaring High King; each Dragon Warrior facing resolutely outwards, ready for the next vicious onslaught. As they waited, the teeming Minion Army of the Core filled the Inner Court from all directions. Every inch of the blue-marble flooring was now covered with the writhing, loathsome worms; the sickly-red and yellow, foot-long grubs, with wide, pincer-like maws and drooling, toxic fangs. The floor was a heaving sea of acid-spitting death. “I know we are beyond all hope, our reserves of protective blue flame are now near-exhausted, but we still have our red battle-flame and we will stand and do our duty!” Strebor grimly telepathed, knowing indeed, that each of his twelve brothers would hold firm, no matter the odds against them.
