What inspired you to write your book?
I have been drawing since childhood but learned about doodling, zendoodling and zentangling about a year ago when I saw doodle/zentangle artwork on a website. I got inspired to create my own doodles and zentangles and have loved to doodle and zentangle since then. I wanted to share my passion for doodling and zentangling with other people so I wrote this book.

You think you can’t draw? You are not an artist? It doesn’t matter! Everyone can doodle, so you don’t need to be an artist to do it. Doodling is instinctive and comes naturally. We all can doodle and we actually did it as a little child when we were given a crayon for the first time. Doodling is for everyone because it doesn’t require a certain technique or style. Just as we tend to write a certain way, we automatically tend to doodle a certain way. We don’t have to think about it. With doodling, there are no mistakes, no right or wrong. Just do whatever comes to your mind or whatever you feel. Don’t compare your doodles with others. The focus is not on the outcome but on the process of doodling itself.

How do you see writing a a craft book or tutorial as different from writing other genres of books?
Creating a craft book or tutorial requires you to share some background information about the craft and to share step by step how to create something or how to use a certain method or technique. To make the instructions more clear, you should add images or links to video tutorials so people can follow them more easily.
How did you decide how to publish your book and where is it published through:
I decided to self-publish my book because it is much easier and faster to get your book out there. I would advice new authors to do the same since publishing your book through a traditional publisher may not work or may take too much time.
