What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My life in my 20's was erratic, I moved from home to home, job to job, never settling down. This is what inspired my book about a young woman who struggles to commit and is constantly starting her life over again.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Although the actual events in the book are pure fiction, I was inspired by a few people in my life for the characters. These people are the ones who were there for me in my 20's when my life was chaotic.
The clock on the coffee shop wall read 2:15pm. Only forty-five minutes until my last interview of the day. With two absolute disaster interviews already under my belt, I was on the brink of giving up hope. Don’t get me wrong, it was my fault that the first two went so badly. I was late to the first one, courtesy of me waking up late after an evening of drinking with friends and therefore missing my train. The second interview I continuously called my interviewer by the wrong name. I blame that one on lack of coffee. Overall, I was such an unprepared fool, I won’t be making the same mistakes in my next interview, that’s for sure.
