What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My favorite event of the year is the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque New Mexico and the love for balloons is what inspired me to write this book. Imagine the joy of a Hot Air Balloon Festival – colors dancing in the sky, a whimsical journey for Curly Crow. Inspiration struck as I marveled at the beauty and enchantment of these festivals. What better way to share the magic than through the eyes of Curly Crow?
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Curly Crow is a cute crow character with curly hair who lives in New Mexico. She was originally created in the likeness of my daughter who also has curly hair. This is a children's series of a bird who goes on adventures, learns life lessons, and try's new things. My character represents trust, honesty, and confidence and my hope is that kids see Curly Crow and develop a love for reading.
