This cover confuses me. Is the dog Tipper? Why is its neck so long? But the author’s name is Tipper. Is the dog the author? Why is the word author under the name? I don’t think I’ve ever seen that on a book. With all the wing-like shapes, it looks a little like the dog is being attacked by a flock of colorful geese. I think maybe there is too much going on here–too many colors, too many shapes–for the potential reader to get a feel for what this book is about. If you could simplify it some, perhaps stick with Tipper (maybe showing the whole dog) and two or three of his flying friends, I think it would go a long way toward making the cover more appealing.

This is a very muddy cover that doesn’t make it all clear what the story might be about. It also is going to look like a mass of color in thumbnail size with no distinct images. Finally, you need to remove “Author” from the cover. Your name is enough.
