The Mind’s Eye

Marya and I worked on the image composition together, creating a beautiful historical style because the book is set in 1939. The girl’s face depicts the central character Kit, but in her eye there is a reflection of her love interest Henri, who she first encounters by using her psychic powers to step into his mind. The background depicts the towers of a Nazi Prisoner of War camp, also a location Kit visits psychically in the story, and the Luftwaffe planes that brought the devastating Blitz to Britain in 1940. Marya Heiman composed the images selected by myself and made them aged and striking.

Yet again showing mastery of a talent, Marya has offered a subtle reflection in the image of an eye. Ah, if only knowing people were so easy as she makes it look here.

I love this cover and the story is fantastic! All the small details in the cover make it stand out. The reflection in her eye, the color, and the plane in the background…all little details that fit the story perfectly. Great cover!

I love the cover. The sepia is beautiful. The red on her lips pop. Definitely peaks my interest. 🙂

I adore this cover. The idea of having Henri inside the eye is just inspired. After you read the book it makes even more sense. She really does see him in her “Mind’s Eye” so it is a brilliant play on words. The red filter is interesting. It almost has that sepia feel of an old style picture but not quite. Definitely a job well done!

This cover is awesome and complex. My favorite part is the eye with the face in it. Marya is a fantastic cover designer.

The Mind’s Eye is a fantastic story. I loved Kit, Leigh, and Henry…really, ALL of the characters in this book. It had suspense, romance, adventure – something for everyone. The cover, with only half of Kit’s face showing and those beautiful shades of red, is really quite lovely and eye catching. My vote goes to this one!

The Mind’s Eye was a brilliant start to this amazing new series by K.C. Finn. I enjoyed it from cover to end. K.C. Finn really had me feel like I could have been on the station platform with Kit and Leighton leaving bombed filled London and on the train to Wales. There were times when I felt so Brussels with Henri and Kit. This book deserves many awards and praises from all!
