My Ursian Chronicles consist of multiple novels, collections and novellas, with my goal of having a basic design to try and tie all of them together. That being said, sticking with such a design plan can limit somewhat what one can do with the design, so I’m always looking for different and new ways to approach covers for my Ursian Chronicles. In this case, I had a vision of trying to combine a fantasy and sort of horror feel, which is why there is the glowing dagger as a central figure with a touch of smoke and background flame in front of an old building (taken from morguefile.com). I think I did a decent job at this, but ultimately it is the readers and reviewers who decide.
