My book is part memoir, part self-help book for singles. I wanted a very graphic cover that would stand out even in a very small size–such as on amazon.com. I also wanted the cover to convey a “retro” message, since the story of the book is about a post-divorce man who is learning how to be single again. The designer (Ken Wilson) and I came up with a Mad Men concept that was both eye-catching and provocative.
