This image actually found me! I was browsing through Renu Sharma’s beautiful photo-manipulations, when I came across this piece of artwork. My story has been described as “Brave New World meets The Little Mermaid.” It’s a YA dystopian novella, with an underwater twist: humans use mermaid-like adaptations to adjust to life under the sea. I felt this piece of art captured the overall emotional tone of the book, while giving a strong flavor of the story.
