Acadia’s Law: Book One, Undying Love Series
Cover Designer: My cover artist, Stephanie Magnuson, has a degree in interior design, but this was the first book cover she has ever created. I think she’s an amazing artist who gave me just the look I wanted for the cover of Acadia’s Law! I am excited because Stephanie will now be illustrating all my covers for the Undying Love Series!
Comments about cover design
I was describing what my next book, Acadia’s Law, was about to some friends at a Christmas party last December. Stephanie Magnuson was part of the group and said she’d love to try to draw the cover for a romantic thriller set on the cusp of an apocalypse!. Since I love including my family and friends as part of the creation or business process of my self-published books, we agreed to meet.. Stephanie was awesome to work with on a cover. We discussed ideas and deadlines. Then off she went to start drawing! After only a couple of slight changes, she had created what I had envisioned, if not more. Plus, she communicated regularly and met deadlines–every author’s dream come true!

The cover captures the sense of an apocalyptic mystery about to unfold. I tend to judge the cover art when picking up a book to read and this definitely captures your imagination.

This is such a good book cover. I love that it’s hand drawn and not just another photoshoped book cover. So much detail in the drawing, it really sets the mood of the book!

Acadia’s Law cover represents what life would feel like in the foreboding, unbelievable world of the apocalypse, but in a way that keeps it humorous–not too gory or scary.

After seeing book covers of blood, gore, and guts depicting an apocalyptic event, this book cover does an awesome job of portraying the ultimate loneliness in one’s self and the world as it would be if you were to experience an apocalyptic event first hand! Great job!!

The cover art of this book is like no other that I have seen. It grabbed my attention. I believe that it fits the story perfectly. You know the old saying ” you can’t judge a book by its cover” well I think that in this case you can 🙂 Just saying !
