What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was brainstorming with the head of our Relay for life teaming. We decided to make a cookbook for a fundraiser. Not long after I started adding more into what I wanted to put out until it became something other than a cookbook but more of a collection that included recipes.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
This book is non-fiction there are no characters in the book. Rather the stories featured are real people who decided to share their stories for the project.
Food is your friend!
An empty stomach often causes it, or excessive stomach acid produced by some medications, dry foods such as crackers or toast work best. You may sip clear liquids such as water or broths and should avoid greasy or spicy foods.
Mouth or throat problems:
Mouth and throat problems may be caused by dry mouth resulting from chemotherapy or radiation treatments. Soft foods such as applesauce, ice cream, or soups for this side effect are best to stick with. Try to avoid acidic or spicy foods, eat meals at room temperature, and use a straw with drinks.
