What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
For a long time I have been fascinated by the events that led to my creation. So I have gone back to a year or so before my birth to write a fictional memoir of what my parents were going through to just before I arrived. There are some skeletons in the closet, and I was hoping writing this would help expose them.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
The two main characters are my mother and father. I didn't write characters based on them, I wrote them – exactly as I remembered them.
