What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
When I found out that this boxed set was all about Alien Romance I couldn't resist! I absolutely love Sci-Fi Romance and love working with other authors.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
My story has been brewing in my head for years. It always starts with a daydream then moves on to an obsession! I've always wondered what it would be like to meet an alien species and who doesn't enjoy a good exotic romance? Sci-Fi films play a big part in how I come up with my characters as well.
As soon as she sat up a screen lit up on the far wall across from the bed she was on. A kind elderly woman’s face appeared on the screen.
“Hello, I see that you’ve woken. How do you feel?”
“Um…I feel like I got hit by a bus. Who the hell are you and where the f*ck am I?” Adara growled.
“My apologies. I’m not programmed to respond to such negativity. Could you please use kinder words?” the matronly figure asked.
Adara rubbed her eyes in hopes she’d wake up and find she was having a strange dream. Unfortunately, she was still in the strange pod looking at the bizarre woman on the screen. If this wasn’t some Twilight Zone moment, she didn’t know what was.
“Fine. Who are you and where am I?” she asked in a softer tone.
“I am your AI assistant while you are on board the Jenspar Galactic Transport Ship. You’ve just woken from stasis within your pod. We’re monitoring your health. It may take some time for you to fully adjust.”
“Wait… I’m on a ship? In some kind of pod out in the ocean? What the hell?” Adara questioned.
“I’m sorry. Your negativity levels are increasing again.”
That AI had no clue just how negative Adara wanted to be at that moment. If she wasn’t more concerned about where she was, she had half a mind to punch the screen.
