Country life was supposed to be simple. But Mother Nature has other plans in store.
When newly divorced Natalie Gwynn inherits her great aunt’s acre of land on the Colorado Eastern Plains, she doesn’t hesitate the move across the country and set down roots of her own. With her twin children in college abroad, there was nothing to keep her living in her upper-class neighborhood of New England.
Jack Reid is just getting his life in order and starting on a new journey when he buys plot number 376 in Yuma County. Serving his country for twelve years while his ex-wife spent her free time cheating on him, Jack wants nothing more than peace, quiet and solitude.
The first time Natalie and Jack paths cross it isn’t pretty. She finds him to be rude, arrogant and the very last person she hoped to have as a neighbor. Even if he is a mile away.
With their every meeting going worst than the last, things begin to boil over when an accident by mother nature brings things to a head.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
One of my childhood favorites, and decided to try something new with a little more adult to it.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I wanted to write a fun, quirky and yet romantic tale that was a modern take on Jack and his giant beanstalk. When I began plotting for his story, that's when the rough and rugged Army Veteran Jack and Natalie's story began to come to life.
