What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
The amazing book "Angels drink milk", published recently on Amazon, was written after the author's successful treatment for infertility in South Korea. Do not think that it is advertising in nature, by no means, first of all, the goal set by the author was to help women who faced problems in gynecology decide to take the first step to motherhood. Millions of women and men around the world can become parents, but they never do because of fears of screening, treatment, or religious reasons! Think about these numbers! It might have been different if they had been told what to do in time. When writing the first part of the book, a large-scale research was conducted in the field of the history of the South Korean state, Asian family traditions, peculiarities of mentality, and politics. Many episodes are devoted to describing the beautiful places of the South Korean Peninsula, which will be interesting for travelers. If talk about education in South Korea as a whole, it is worth mentioning that teachers have a huge role to play: they do not only give knowledge on the subject, but they are also in some way spiritual mentors. Since ancient times, the profession of a teacher was a revered and respected one here. No wonder the ancient Korean proverb says: "Teacher, Sire, and Father are all the same!" In the old Korean villages, school teachers were the embodiment of the wisdom of generations and it was with them that hopes for a "better educated future «were pinned.
In modern Korean educational institutions the attitude towards teachers has only grown stronger. Strict discipline is always observed in the classroom, and children obey their teachers implicitly, often doing additional tasks. Even adult Koreans are sure to pay due respect to teachers and University professors, greeting them with a bow. Foreigners are surprised to see a Korean official or a big businessman bowing and respectfully listening to a high school Professor, forgetting about their business and even the level of their earnings. It is not surprising that even today in Korea, getting a diploma of higher teacher education is the dream of many young people, which guarantees if not the highest salary, then a certain degree of honor and respect in society.
Jin Ho actively participated in the discussion of questions on the topic of lessons, raised her hand, always knew the correct answers, so she enjoyed reasonable respect from her classmates. By the way, the latter in that private school were much less in number than in the public school, where the girl used to go. In her class there were only 15 people. In this regard, teachers had the opportunity to implement a more individual approach to the training of each student.
"Hello, guys! Today, we need to choose representatives who will make a presentation at the school scientific conference. Anyone interested?" asked the teacher, when the lesson began."You may think for some time and at the end of the lesson tell me if you are ready."
"Can I try it?"Jin Ho, a thirteen-year-old girl, modestly approached the teacher and asked him to enlist her report, which she had already written. The topic was the issues of organic chemistry and molecular biology.
"Of course! I myself wanted to offer you this!"
They chose the topic of the report together with a chemistry teacher and decided to take this difficult but urgent problem: "Ways to represent structures of chemical compounds". Of course, in order to perform properly, the girl had to prepare hard for several weeks. She borrowed a pile of books from the library, spent hours in the lab with her teacher, consulted, and read articles on the Internet.
"Jin Ho, let's go eat, leave the computer, you are tired!"dad called.
"Daddy, give me another twenty minutes, I need to finish one thought!"
"Let's play Counter Strike! Stop being so smart!" her younger brother called.
"Leave me alone with your computer games. You'd better help me create a beautiful presentation for my project!" the girl wanted everything to be perfect.
"What a bore! All right, I'll help you!" still, her brother was better with tech even in primary school.
As a result, the report turned out to be very interesting, scientifically based and claiming the novelty in some theses concerning new ways of combining chemical compounds in real environments. The conference was attended by Professors of prestigious Seoul National University, who sat and talked in whisper during the presentation:
"How old is this girl? She already has such an outstanding knowledge in chemistry!"
"Obviously a talented child!" his colleague replied.
