About the Author

K. Rose has been a part of the Indie Author Community for years. Getting her start as a reader, her keen eye led to a wonderful career in Alpha/Beta and ARC (Advance Reader Copy) reading. As a joke to her fellow advanced reader colleagues, she created a spoofed blurb and cover for a story and the feedback was so positive that it sparked her to run with it.That stoked a fire that has her racing down a multi-genre freeway with no off-ramp in sight. K. doesn't write to "market" and she is fairly certain that her humor and use of puns may cause an eye roll or two. This still wouldn't stop her from making sure there is humor in every one of her stories. As a Multi Genre Author, there is sure to be something for everyone to love. She has traveled the USA extensively, including Alaska, and lived in thirty-eight of the fifty states. Home is now the beautiful state of Wisconsin, where she dreams up her stories in the company of her menagerie of furbabies, including five puppies, five rescue kitties, a bunch of chickens, ducks and turkeys ruled by a Rooster named Chicken Parm, and a ninety-gallon tropical fish tank.Life will always be interesting for K. Rose, which will fuel her works, and keep her muses singing, come join the chorus.

That stoked a fire that has her racing down a multi-genre freeway with no off-ramp in sight. K. doesn’t write to “market” and she is fairly certain that her humor and use of puns may cause an eye roll or two, but as she likes to say, “That’s how I roll.” and “Puns are always welcome!”

I feel this is just what I needed at the right time. I liked that the character names weren’t complicated and that there were fight scenes but things were not too gory. I loved the characters and hope the series continues. I feel this book could be reminiscent of How to Train Your Dragon, mixed with Black Cauldron, and the Crispin series. I really enjoyed!

This is a fun fantasy adventure. There were lots of cheesy puns and jokes (which are my favorite) to keep it lighthearted. Little One is adorable and honestly with her stint in the pub she could be a spirit animal. Who doesn’t love shiny things? Quite an enjoyable read!

This was definitely different than what I normally read but I found that I really enjoyed it!

Be prepared to laugh...A LOT! This book is packed full of funny or should I say punny moments. I loved the storyline and the characters. Rowan and Kael are a hilarious duo! The Elven Prince is an entertaining fantasy read that is perfect for young adults.

The Elven Prince, the first book in K. Rose’s new fantasy adventure novel series, is off to an amazingly hilarious start and is the perfect YA fantasy that’s fun for both YA and adult readers alike. Centered around a magical world that’s full of royal elven kingdoms, magical quests, mystical dragons as well as other magical beings such as fairies, trolls and sprites, this story focuses more on the journey and adventure itself, and not so much on the bonds and relationships between the characters—though the instant attraction and friendly connections are definitely there!

Sebastian, the youngest and fourth elven prince of his family, soon finds himself involved in a great hunt for a treasure—a treasure that is foretold by the Oracle Arielle that it may help end the centuries-long war against the evil Sorceress, Vespyria, and save the kingdom. While on the hunt Sebastian discovers something indeed and soon finds himself called upon to journey to the fire keepers kingdom to complete his mission—accompanied by some other equally as fun characters: Leith the honor bound soldier and Zaren the son of royal scholar and advisor.

The three unlikely heroes join forces and set off on a mission to take the mysterious “treasure” to the fire keepers kingdom, and what ensues next is a chaotic journey full of hilarious moments, camaraderie galore, new friendships/partnerships with unlikely friends, hints of danger from foes on the hunt for what they have, and of course, a few unexpected pit falls along the way to keep things even more interesting!

And while yes, this series is geared towards a young adult audience, it does not take away from the story by any means! Especially as the story, and the connections between the characters, has the means to evolve slowly throughout the later stories to come—as well as the potential to evolve into a fantasy RH romance as well which is always fun! ;)

I absolutely loved that this story was jam packed with tons of clean funny puns, hilarious banter and conversations between the characters, as well as that it was told in different point of views from a variety of characters so we got to see a bit more of each of the characters to better understand them and the roles they play in the story.

Overall if you love a good fast paced fantasy adventure story, that involves a quest, lots of punny humor and a diverse range of characters that develop throughout the story, then this fun entertaining read is for you! And while it can be read as a standalone as it has a HFN ending, I personally can’t wait to see what the rest of the series brings for our characters!

The Elven Prince by K. Rose is the first book in her fantasy adventure novel series, and let me just say this...this book has some really pun-ny moments. Sebastian, is the fourth elven prince of his family, and destiny is about to call to him. The Oracle has seen what is to come and it involves Sebastian discovering a treasure that will take him on a perilous journey, but it is a task that he must undertake to save the kingdom.
The Elven Prince is a quickly moving story as the characters come together behind a mysterious treasure. A quest is called for, and it’s going to be quite the adventure. Lots of chaos, jokes, danger, and some pit falls will be found along the way. I like that this book gives me a variety of points of view, so I’m able to get a little bit of something from all of them. It really brings the story to life more and makes it more enjoyable. I have to say that the jokes scattered throughout...some of them literally had me snorting. LOL! There are some good jokes sprinkled throughout this book, so I have to give the author two thumbs up for the amount of humor.
I’m looking forward to the next book in this series to see where adventure takes Sebastian and his friends. I’m rating this book 5 out of 5 stars. If you like fantasy adventure novels then this book is one to check out.

Sebastian was the fourth son and was determined to bring in a prize larger than his older brothers in the great royal hunt in the King's Forest. His father was King of the Highland Elves and called all the family for a meeting before the hunt. The Oracle Ariella had arrived with an important message.

Ariella had a vision that one of the hunters would find something of great power today that could end the centuries-old war with the evil Sorceress Vespyria.

Sebastian has been preparing for this hunt and lets the other riders take the lead and he takes an overgrown path away from them. When he smells smoke he heads in the direction to find a large perfect circle of singed ground. In the center, he finds an oddly shaped melon with the texture of scales. Could he have found the famed silver dragon?

I love this book! It is very well written and takes you into the world of elves, fairies, magic and monsters. The characters are fully developed and relatable.

This book hints at a romance in Sebastian's future, but although he completes the task given to him this story ends as he makes his journey back home. This book is action-packed, full of danger and kept me turning the pages as we follow Sebastian on his journey to save his Kingdom.

Highly recommend and can't wait for the next chapter of Sebastian's life!

4.0 out of 5 stars Something different

This was something a little different for me, big on the high fantasy, low on the romance - although apparently that will develop in further books, and there's a few hints worked through it. As an 80s kid, I spotted reflections of Willow as I read - no bad thing, as I loved that movie, still do! The characters are all fresh and riff well off each other, and it does leave you guessing who to trust and how they'll get out of it. It's a HFN ending, and sets up for the rest of the series.
