1.0 out of 5 stars Nightmarish in their ordinariness
Reviewed in Australia on January 13, 2015
Hardly the Stuff of nightmares. These stories were rather boring and relied upon the use of torches, darkness and the word 'suddenly' way too much. I was happy to get to the end of the stories as I don't like abandoning books  and feel it only fair to finish them if I am going to review them, but it was a trial to finish the stories. Whilst they were short they did not hold my interest whatsoever. The last one was so predictable I laughed out loud...Tales of the Unexpected it was not!

Small punctuation and word choice issues, such as using 'his' when it should have been 'her' and 'new' instead of 'knew' was also annoying. I mean, if you're going to write a short story or two at least proof- read them well.

Actually these stories were the stuff of nightmares because of their nightmarish writing and predictability.

    Not impressed.
