Three Little Words Kindle Edition

4.1 4.1 out of 5 stars 548 ratings

Two years ago serious, sexy law student Malachi "Mal" Hunter broke wild child Adele Cavanaugh’s heart. When Mal is thrown back into her life...and she meets Dorian Marshall, the bad boy lead singer of the Australian band Three Little Words, her analytical mind can't compete with her racing heart (and other body parts that pulse).

Three Little Words quickly becomes Two Hot Choices, but Adele doesn’t know how to choose just one when they both help to ease her pain...and fuel so much pleasure.

Please note: this story also includes tattoos (hers), naughty touching (theirs), a cat named Humper, and brawling roller derby fun.

This is the story that made me fall in love with Lauren Hawkeye and sent me in search of all other works written by her. Wonderful romance between Mal and Adele--very sweet, sexy and real. I hurt along with the characters when they lost touch. Loved how Ms. Hawkeye orchestrated the meeting of Mal and Dorian and Adele coming back into Mal's life. The way the three characters come together is unique making for a very enjoyable story. When I finished reading the last page all I know was I wanted to read more!

I loved this book, it is a steamy sexy book. We start off with Adele and Mal both college students Mal from a good family, Adele from a poor family they start dating Adele has tattoos and she is a wild child. Mal goes to a dance which he has not invited Adele to he goes with a girl that would be acceptable to his family. Adele goes looking for him that night and gets raped, she leaves college but inherits a condo from her uncle in the college town. She starts skating on a roller derby team working in a coffee shop to earn money.
She meets Dorian who plays in a band, he wants her Mal who comes back to college after an argument with his father who stops supporting him. He runs into Adele who has met Dorian now both guys want her and she wants them. It is a great book that you will not want to put down. Lauren Hawkeye has done it again what a good story.

Malechai Hunter is cookie cutter at best. He tries to live up to what his dad wants for him and so he has entered law school. Preppy, shy and studious, he has dedicated his time to studying and getting ahead.

Adele is unique, from the tattoo's that decorate her body to her vibrant personality. Studying to be a nurse, she never thought her world would be rocked by this preppy.

The differences soon collide in that Adele's insecurities flair and Malechai is too weak to push against the societal norms in front of him. Before it is too late, he makes his attempt to apologize, but misses his chance.

Fast forward two years and we are face to face with hot musician Dorian. He is dominant and has a kinky streak. He is all about control and submission. How will Adele fit into that? And what happens when Adele learns that the hot alpha she is after is now rooming with the love of her life? How is she going to be able to choose? Will either man wait?

Adele is a fighter in this book, even though there are things that happen to her that should break her spirit, she continues to fight. Malechai realizes his strength too late in the game and has to fight for what he wants. Dorian is this sexy aussie musician that you just want to take against every surface you can find. Lauren Hawkeye has a way of making each character an individual and making you fall in love with them. She drafts such heated scenes that you find yourself running to a fan or jumping your significant other. The one thing that stuck in my craw with this book was a portion where after two years of abstinence, Adele has her first climax. About seven pages later she has her second, and it read "her first climax in two years". It did not necessarily take away from the story but created an annoyance for me that I cannot get rid of. I still rate the book 5 fangs.

This is a review and a warning about the whole series. "Three little words" followed by "Kiss me twice part one and two" All and all a very good story so much so that after reading the free "Three little words" I bought, for 2.99 each, I might add, both parts of kiss me twice at the same time. I feel very ripped off! There is a very clear warning that Kiss me twice ends on a cliff hanger so that is not so much my gripe. Three little words was a full length novel ( aprox 2500 loc) that left me wanting more. I was willing to pay for it but when I did, I got burned. Kiss me twice part 1 was not free and half the length. (aprox 1500 loc) But it ended at 93%. The cliffhanger did not throw me cause I had been warned but when I started Kiss me part 2 I was immediately freaking out because now it is only aprox 1000 loc. The whole time I was reading it all I could think about was how there wasn't enough time to tell the story I wanted to hear. And what is more, this book ends at 83%. Fortunately not a cliffhanger but this style of publishing books is making me so angry. Is this totally a product of the e-book era? If I could pick up a book and touch it and see it would I pay 2.99 x 2 for what amounts to half a book? I do want to say that this was a good story, good plot, good characters, maybe not the best written and definitely not the best edited. If you want to pay $5.98 for 1 book then go for it, but I feel railroaded. I don't know how to stop getting burned by this trend of giving away good books and then being overcharged for the sequels.

I am a huge fan of Lauren Hawkeye and this book didn't disappoint. I have been trying to steer clear of series books - seems like authors lately have starting writing books that are short and have a cliffhanger ending...so I was a little hesitant to read this book. But again - pleasantly surprised. No cliffhanger - but still made me want to read the next one!! There was plenty of heat and definitely enjoyed the characters. Never saw the ending coming - so that was great. Serious heat too - definitely worth the read!!

Wow. I'm speechless. These characters are too effing REAL to be imaginary. I sincerely hope that the two men were taken from real life, because they're absolutely perfect! Two strong, loving, caring, intelligent, sensitive men? Keepers, the pair of them. And our heroine is the strongest female I've come across in fiction, probably in forever. Together the three of them make one perfect couple. Not for most people, perhaps, but for them, it just works. Nice job, Ms H!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nicht nur steamy, sondern für einen NA-Romance-Roman viel zu sexlastig!

Die aktuelle Kurzbeschreibung sowie der Zusatz "Steamy New Adult Rock Star Romance" im Titel ließen mich Anderes erwarten als "Three little words" mir letztlich bot: Denn für mich ist das hier kein Romance-Werk, sondern pure Erotica.

    ***
