Fiercely independent and free, party-girl Lacey and her girlfriend Jess play the field, meeting guys for casual sex — in bars, at parties, wherever the next adventure leads — until she meets one that captures her imagination as much as her body and they embark on a journey of sexual exploration of threesomes, foursomes, and all things debaucherous . He has her mind and body, but will she give him her heart?

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My interest in sex, sexual experiences and non-monogamous relationships inspired me to explore the ideas in this series. I am fascinated by the complexities of the human experience as we relate to each other as sexual beings. I wanted to explore changing sexual experience from the perspective of one woman and to see what impacts these experiences have on her as a whole person.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Although my characters are inspired, in part, by people that I have encountered in my life, no one character is representative of a particular person. Some characters are compilations of people who have entered into my life at various times.
We meet at the bar. Fate is a working girl, didn’t you know? Look at him leaning against the counter so casually surveying the scene. He is handsome as hell. I can tell he is a military man straight off. You know the sort: never quite relaxed, never without purpose; clean cut with a touch of hardness—hardness, his hardness— the thought makes me a bit tingly between the thighs. Heartbeat elevated. Game on.
The discerning bar-goer will tell you that these military men come in several varietals, you know, some ready to fight, some ready to fuck, each with his particular taste and twinge. This one comes with a certain sense of calmness and definite sex appeal. We get a lot of military types in this bar—the bar I’ve come to think of as my bar—because of its proximity to the base. So, I’ve come to recognize a military man a mile away. And any smart girlie knows they are trouble. But those eyes. Sky baby blues.
He has just caught me looking his way from my little table across the barroom, a flirty flicker of my eye and that smile he has come to call a bit wicked. He thinks he has caught me by accident. But, I avert my eyes just after I know he has seen. The place is mostly empty tonight and the only thing between us is that smoky haze. Don’t you just love the way the light transudes through the bar funk? Like magic fairy dust.
Me? I’m a little drunk to be sure. Not much happening on this particular Saturday night in September, and my girlfriend and I are out for fun. Dancing, drinking. No particular place to go and no particular place to be. An overwhelming lack of inspiration has led us here tonight, to our most frequented watering hole just on the outskirts of the city. Absolutely no expectations…
