Hot on the trail of an ancient secret, the crew of the mercenary starship Endurance must fight their way off a mining colony overrun by the Ossidiana crime syndicate in order to find their prize. Lindauriel, the crew’s chaplain and healer, must find a way to not only support his crewmates, but also come to an understanding with First Officer Coriolis, a lady of many deadly talents. As both yearn to find common ground and perhaps an even deeper connection with each other, dangers align against the Endurance from all directions. Secrets will be revealed, lives lost and saved, hearts torn asunder and restored, and neither of the two will ever be the same again.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My love of anime definitely fueled this book, and I've always loved the idae of integrating magic and technology together. Additionally, I'm fighting cancer, and I wanted to get at least one book published while I still had time, and suceeded in doing so!
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Lindauriel is based very loosely on an old D&D character of mine. I wanted to create a crew that had a real "found family" dynamic that wouldn't look out of place in an ongoing TV show or tabletop gaming campaign.
