ANOTHER DEAD END
Finding the remaining Catalysts should have been easy. Or, at least easier. With the first of five Catalysts safely under their protection, the Rogue Dragonics are one step closer to the Prophecy. One step closer to revealing The One who will free Solera from the Chancellor’s tyranny.
But all leads have turned up dry or are suddenly silent. Dead. To make matters worse, Commander Callon McKafrey has gone missing – it’s been days since anyone has heard from him.
AN UNEXPECTED ALLY
In today’s Solera, it is every man for himself. No one can be trusted and selflessness is a distant memory. But, when a stranger with a not-so-secret alliance gets cornered, the only thing to do is help. Help because he’s a good guy in a world gone mad – a resistance fighter against the Realm’s corruption – a Rogue Dragonic.
Even if it means revealing a dark secret – one that tends to get people killed. A secret that will throw the entire order of Rogue Dragonics on its head and bring them one step closer to ending over 20 cycles of fighting, heartache, and death.
It makes perfect sense. It is perfect timing.
Except… How do you convince someone consumed by secrecy to help anyone but themselves?

How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I don’t like to pigeon-hole into one genre. I am proud to be known for genre-bending. While my Dragonics & Runics series is, at its heart, a fantasy – there are steampunk, adventure, new adult, action, historical, and even sci-fi elements to it.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
Dream big or go home. Then, write.
A. Wrighton has been imagining flights of wild fancy since before she could figure out how to tie her shoes. Her love of writing and her over-active imagination continue to lead her through a life full of creative and amazing adventures. To honor her hours of reading, writing, and getting lost in great stories, she earned honors a BA in English with honors, as well as an MFA in Creative Writing with honors. From reading fantasy and sci-fi books underneath her bedcovers as a child, A. Wrighton has developed a passion for magic, mischief, and the exploration of the unknown — especially when it comes to mythical & unbelievable creatures. A. Wrighton resides in beautiful Ventura County, California and loves her native city of Los Angeles. She lives with her loving family, two dogs, and a tortoise, and is often found writing in little neighborhood joints – an obscenely large cup of coffee at her side.
What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My love of dragons, history, and adventure brought this novel – and the entire Dragonics & Runics series about. Steeped in the raw elements of what humanity can and will do under hard circumstances, a lot of people liken the Dragonics & Runics series to a fantasy interpretation of WW2 and the Holocaust – but with dragons, magic, and less guns.
