How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
I think what was most surprising and still consumes me with nearly all my books is the amount of work and time it takes to put out an outstanding product. I have had numerous delays with writing, editing, cover art and formatting. My goal is to create a quality product—one that readers will want to buy and then refer their friends. I started writing my first book, How To Find A Job: When There Are No Jobs in 1993 and published it on December 16, 2011. The book was an instant success and hit #1 in Job Hunting on Amazon. I started writing Trail of 32 in 2000 and published it on September 1, 2013.

What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
I think a good author has to be a good storyteller—someone that can reach into the depths of their soul and write—not knowing many times where their material comes from—it just does. I call that “flow,” or being in a zone.

Author Bio:
Paul Rega began his writing career in 1980 while attending Western Illinois University as a staff reporter for the Western Courier. Upon graduating with a degree in biology and journalism, he spent the next thirty years in business having started an executive search firm in 1984. His passion for writing stayed with him throughout his business life, and he started writing his first book in 1993. He published, How To Find A Job: When There Are No Jobs in December 2011. The book was an instant success, and hit #1 on Amazon’s bestseller list for job hunting books in March 2012. He published 12 Steps to Freedom in August 2013 and Trail of 32, a true coming of age story in September 2013. Paul currently lives in a small town along the Gulf Coast of Florida, where he is writing his next book.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
12 Steps to Freedom is really a story of my long journey to be free of an agonizing recruiting business I ran for 28 years to become a full time author. It’s a book I think many writers will enjoy because it addresses my struggles along the way to become a bestselling author. I introduce a unique 12 step program that is a revolutionary new concept in career management and personal development. The 12 step program is designed to help anyone determine what their true career path is and it provides a vehicle to achieve one’s career through a goal setting program.
