How is Writing In Your Genre Different from Others?
My starting point is always considering what my sisters or closest friends would want to know about the topic. If we were sitting down together with a cup of tea and talking, woman-to-woman, what I say in my books about how to be healthy is exactly what I would say to them. What is different in the Health and Lifestyle genre is that you can make a real difference in people’s lives. There is a responsibility to deliver quality, honest, useful information that improves healthful living.
What Advice Would You Give Aspiring Writers?
My advice to aspiring writers is, “Just do it.” Today, Amazon Kindle and CreateSpace make it easier than ever before for aspiring writers to become published writers. The number one thing holding most writers back is actually finishing their manuscript. Finish it – get it out there in front of readers – and get started on your next book. Don’t put this off, because nothing compares with the pleasure and pride of being a PUBLISHED author!

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My own long search for the ‘best’ diet, combined with my background as a lifestyle and health reporter and editor has led to me writing frequently about the link between healthy eating and weight loss. Friends frequently ask me, “What diet should I try?” This book helps each woman work out the answer that is best for her.
