Review:
Unlimited Power is one of the original juggernauts in the self-help field. Written by Tony Robbins in 1997, it has earned numerous awards and is often cited as the book responsible for changing thousands of people’s lives. However, can the strategies Tony developed in 1997 still compete with newer books with updated information? Furthermore, does the advice still apply in this day and age? There was only one way to find out, so I picked the book up and began reading.

The book is divided into three sections.

Section 1: The Modeling of Human Excellence discusses the various ways we can piggyback the success of others. Rather than reinventing the wheel, Tony recommends we study the great movers and shakers we’d like to emulate and incorporate their strategies and mindsets into our own lives.

Section 2: The Ultimate Success Formula is a step by step strategy to bringing success in your life. To sum it up, it’s essentially to create a goal, do work towards that goal, observe the results of your work, and then adjust as needed. Sound simple? That’s because it is, but it’s incredibly powerful as well.

Section 3: Leadership: The Challenge of Excellence shows us how to take action in our life and implement these various strategies now, not over years. It is not only a challenge but a call to live with excellence.

So how does it stack up in today’s world? I’m happy to report that although the world we live in has changed significantly, human psychology has remained more or less the same. Tony Robbin’s system works and I believe that if you truly read and implement everything in the book you will walk away a better person than when you picked it up. If you’re looking for a book to change any aspect of your life whether it be finances, relationships, family or anything else I strongly urge you to give Unlimited Power a shot. It has become one of my favorite books practically overnight.
