What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
In ‘If The Shoe Fits’ I am sorry to say I was definitely in my post reading ‘Fifty Shades’ period. I wanted a strong herione and a man prepared to pursue her. What woman doesn’t secretly want that, even the Lady CEOs (be honest girls!).
The shoes connection are a homage to my mother who has always had an Imelda Marcos obsession with shoes.
I love a good romance with lot’s of twists and turns and so my first book was also the kind of book I had been reading the most of.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
If I can imagine the death of reality then I can imagine a whole new world of possibilities. That is the first step I always take. I do not come up with the whole character, rather they grow a life of their own as their world expands. I don’t always know where they are heading until I type ‘The End’, which makes the writing process for me, just as exciting as being a reader.
Janie Adams was finally here in London. Her application for Buyer had been approved and she was due to start today. He took in a deep breath as he looked out of his window. She was unfinished business for him, invading his dreams for the last 3 years. The red shoes she had been wearing that night sat under a glass dome, the dome sat pride of place on a wooden plinth in the corner of his office. They had caused many a distraction to his working day with the memories they stirred in him.
He had almost gone back to her store several times to apologise and tell her why he had run that night.
He regretted how he acted and for a long time felt that his actions were irreparable and that she was lost to him. Recently though he had decided that he had to make her his again, no matter what, and intended to do just that. No running away this time little lady, he thought.
