The Rage Kindle Edition
New and revised edition (November 2019)
What really killed the dinosaurs? What if the same organism that wiped out the greatest beasts to walk the earth survived into the present day? The residents of the quiet rural village of Netherwell are about to find out first-hand.
Alice Dean becomes concerned when her husband, Dennis, fails to return from a walk in the woods. Her worst fears are confirmed when their dog returns home with a human finger in its mouth.
Over the course of the next two days, the once peaceful location is rocked by a series of horrific murders and descends into a spiral of escalating violence.
But the ancient evil lurking beneath the trees may not be the only source of danger. As the residents battle to stay alive, they begin to question the motives of those whose duty it is to protect them.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2016This book reminds me of Zika virus and Ebola outbreak but the plot is in picturesque English suburban area. There are two climaxes in this book. The second one starts around the last third, and has caused me to finish the book all in one go. Some scenes are quite bloody and gross but quite exciting as well. The plot of this book can quite easily be developed into a screen play for a good indie film. I would like the finish to be less abrupt, as I always want to find out how a bad guy really fall.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable horror / thriller set in English village
A really enjoyable horror / thriller. It's well plotted, has good characterisation and is extremely well-written, using many techniques that you'd expect from a much more experienced author.
I liked the way the whole book was set in and around one small English village, under quarantine with not much in the way of 'bigger picture', although there were hints of things going on elsewhere, especially towards the end. There was also a creditable back-story which detailed the history of the pathogen and how it reached the little village.
I'd like to award this book 4.5 stars because I felt that the author had a tendency to over-explain things on occasion, and the dialogue was sometimes a bit long-winded (e.g. during action scenes). But these are minor nit-picking criticisms of a very worthy read, and if there were to be a sequel, or indeed another book by this author, I'd definitely read it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable, you might get something out of this Zombie outbreak book if at a loose end for reading material!
Books are subjective as to how into them you get & rate them for others to try, IF you like the zombie outbreak genre this is worth dipping into.
It is a uk based story, so some familiarity compared to other locations, not so gung-ho.
Won't go into the storyline, it will spoil things for you (I hate folk that give away film plots, & feel the same where books are concerned).

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't put it down
I absolutely loved this book; excellent characters, solid plot line, attention to detail was faultless and the writing was excellent.
I stayed awake for far too long on several nights as I couldn't wait to get to the next page.
Looking forward to the next book from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Next please.
This is a good fast paced book. There were a few chapters where I wondered where it was going and then I got drawn back in and loved it. Will read more from this author.
