- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2014I love reading Christmas love stories because it warms my heart and gives me hope for happy ever after. Christmas is a magical time and when the hero found his heroine, you know it's a match made in heaven. Well, that and the obstacles they went thru to be together. True love is hard to find but it's real.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2014This is a great 3 pack of books. As I opened the book I realized that 2 of the books I had in my wish list so this was a bargain 3 books for the price of one.
The first story Holiday Heart is about second chances. Brenda and Blake were high school sweethearts but because of mutual misunderstanding it broke them apart. Six years pass and Brenda is back home to attend a friends wedding, there she meets up with Blake again. Miss communication still is a problem until they go horse back riding and then flying then things begin to open up. This is a very light reading. A quick holiday read.
Cowshed Christmas - Its Christmas time Down Under where the weather is warm but Ben and Rebecca's marriage is not. They decide to take the kids on holiday and try to pretend that all is well when disaster strikes. Luckily the kids went ahead with their Aunt and that left the 2 of them alone finding shelter in an old cow shed and forcing the two to deal with each other and their problems. Nice reconciliation story. This was OK not my favorite of the three.
Christmas in Comstock - This was a well written historically correct coming of age story. The year is 1895 and Cait Adcock is a privileged girl from San Francisco who travels to the wild west of Nevada with 2 kittens to find out what happened to her father and the family fortune. There she meets her father's associate. Even though Cait is attracted to him she is not totally sure of his intentions. However they team up to find answers and get the family's fortune back. This story will transport you to the wild west as it really was. Thoroughly enjoyed it wish it was longer. Excellent read my favorite of the bunch.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2015I love Christmas stories! In fact, I read them all year 'round. The last 4 books I checked out from the library recently, were Christmas stories, And if I like the author, I make it a point to read all their books.
This one was fun because there were three different authors. And while they were all "country" stories, one took place in the present in the Pacific Northwest, one took place in the past in the past in Nevada, and the third took place in the present in England.
Three more authors to read!

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice collection
A nice collection to read about Christmas and its atmosphere in a different setting.
I really enjoyed the first novel, with the characters getting together again after many years and a misunderstanding.
The second one, about the absence of communication in a couple and the festivities in the cowshed was also interesting.
The last one, settled in the late nineteenth century, was a bit different, since the link with Christmas was quite far-fetched, but since I like US history, it was okay.
I recommend this collection.
