Lina Gardiner, author of the award winning Jess Vandermire Vampire Hunter Series has writing in her blood. That, and the stories her grandfather told in the "parlor" when their grandmother wasn't paying attention, added to her love of storytelling, and the wonders of imagination.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2014I do love a good woman-in-jeopardy book, and Lina Gardiner delivers with Unknown Assailant. This was my choice of reading material at bedtime for a few consecutive nights, and there were some scary scenes that had me rethinking that decision. But because it's romance, I knew it would all turn out in the end, which it did, complete with a nifty twist/surprise.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015I really, really wanted this book to be great since it is set in my hometown of Fredericton, but it wasn't. It could have been, but it wasn't. The lead in to the story was poor - judicious editing is required. Also, the characters were not fleshed out well and the writing was poor.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2015I liked this well enough, but I thought the author was Lisa Gardner. I didn't care for all the romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2014Lina Gardiner just keeps getting better and better and in my opinion this was one of her best. It moves quickly, with enough surprising suspense that you won't want to turn away, and just enough romance to keep it interesting.
