21 year old history graduate, Nan Weststar, lives a hum-drum life working as a rural tour guide, until her father’s unexpected death. Lost and alone, with only the help of her friends, Rory, a flamboyant waitress and Parker, a tattooed bad boy, Nan finds a mysterious trunk, fully of dark secrets, amongst her father’s things.
Determined to find answers to the cryptic clues she’s uncovered, Nan throws caution to the wind and travels to England, where she discovers a whole new side to herself. Faced with more unanswerable questions, deception, death, and lost relations, Nan must put her faith in the hands of a coven of cursed witches, while embracing her past to battle a murderous immortal baron, before he kills her as he did the rest of her family.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I got the inspiration from doing genealogy on my own family. By doing so I connected with a few family members I never knew existed and thought writing about an only child reuniting with unknown family would make an interesting storyline.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Though the characters in the book are fictional, most of their attributes were taken from people I’ve known. The father in the story is based on my own, as when I began writing this book I had just lost him to an unexpected heart attack. Rory and Parker are based on two very good friends of mine and the rest are just a mixture.
